I'm watching the debate on the budget reconciliation. How about paying for homeless housing with some or the money you gave yourselves in a raise? Which issue involves a more important human right - homeless housing or a 50% increase in your compensation? You could take pressure off of next years' budget and use that money to pay for more hotel bills for the homeless in this years' budget. A reconsideration of the pay raise bill seems appropriate given the circumstances.
