Thank you. Please allow a tangential addition; We’ve come to presume that the schooling enterprise has as its mandate, “…meeting student needs”. Should we be questioning all these “needs” as appropriately included under the rubric of Education? That is, services to be expected from our limited schooling organizations? How did we come to relinquish all these parenting concerns to institutions? Perhaps the emancipation of parents from school organization should be on our agenda. Let them repossess their liberty to educate/parent their kids according to their view of their kids needs. Can’t the monies designated to supporting organizations be turned over to parents to buy the instruction/schooling services their kids need? Can the slogan “let the money follow the kid” become a legislative proposal?
