This is a nice attempt, Rob, marking our national progress in civil rights, but I take exception to crediting that lying sack of dung LBJ for the civil rights act. He had political reasons (distractions from JFK murder investigations?) for reversing his previous policies from the jim crow era. He used the civil rights act as a stepping stone toward breaking up black families and fostering dependency on government programs. https://media.snopes.com/2016/07/lbj-racist-quotes-2.jpg
I hear you! LBJ was the biggest scumbag to every hold the presidency in modern history. Perhaps ever. And, I agree his inaptly named Great Society programs were devastating initially to the black family and, 60 years on, the overall family structure in our nation. But I used him as an example here precisely because he was such an awful individual as my overall goal in writing this was to highlight the double standard the Left applies to evaluating our historical leaders and events. How can anyone lionize LBJ and his legacy but dismiss Thomas Jefferson's? It's nutty and it's dangerous. Maybe I missed my mark. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for clarifying. Sorry that point escaped me.
If the left didn't have double standards....
Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.
Equating th LGBTQ+ movement with the civil rights struggle is a non-starter.
Now we have children with two mommies and no hope of a father, or two daddies and where's mom? (because there is one, somewhere).
Stick to your fiscal conservatism, Rob. Subscription cancelled.
Way to miss the mark of this post.
